Things That Shine.: Alessandra Music Post: 1

Our Story.

My name is Alessandra and I have cancer. I also happen to only be shy of twenty five and work for one of the most influential and powerful entities in the United States of America. I recently am in the process of getting a PhD in Psychology, as well as my second Masters. Trying to juggle chemotherapy + radiation along with running client operations per my job title, AND going to school, well, it would all be impossible without my best friend Carlina. Carlina goes to University, not just any University either. It just so happens she's going to the exact University her father is a proud graduate of. With everything from mountain hiking labs, essays and tests every week to exams that make her so stressed she doesn't get sleep- upper level school is not at all what she thought it would be. We may not be in the same place at the same time but we are best friends through and through. No one has our backs like we have each others. We promised each other we'd get through this time and that one day all of this pain would be useful to us. This blog, is our way, of getting some of that struggle off of our shoulders and stress off our backs until that time comes. We are each other's person. We are sisters. Nothing can break our bond. Welcome to our lives, watch your feet, it gets quite messy around here quite often.
